Schooling: Having lived most of my childhood in different parts of rural Odisha (a state in India), I have done my primary, secondary and higher secondary studies in five different schools. In this journey through Odisha, I came to know people from different cultures, tribes with different living standards and styles and speaking in a range of Odia (language) dialects. This has not only made me capable of speaking in many dialects of Odia, but also appreciate the diversity that Odisha has to offer. Apart from that, while living in resource-constrained rural villages, I also had firsthand experiences of Jugaad (Indian word for frugal innovation). Moving through Odisha during my schooling was an enriching experience, and it has made me realize my love for Odisha. While most people have a hometown, I often say that I have a homestate which is Odisha.
